POHA:This is chai-time snack which is made out of flattened rice is a favourite among every Maharashtrian.Avery versatile dish,poha can be prepared in numerous way.Poha prepared with diced potato,dadpe pohe which is raw poha prepared with fresh, shredded coconut,green chillies,ginger and lime juice and lastly kachche pohe.Salt and un-sauteed onion.No matter which way you choose to make it,poha will leave you craving for more!


SREEKHAND:It is a sort of sweet yohurt dish,flavoured with cardamom powder and saffron,this dish is a hit at weddings and at the festival of Dushera.It is usually served with piping, hot puris and is another Maharashtra food dish that is famous all over the country.

SABUDANA KHICHDI:This unique dish is popular breakfast item in Maharashtra food and cuisine and is one of the few food products which is consumed during the period of holy-fasting.The granular texture of sago prepared in a savoury mix turns out to be a delicious dish indeed.

BHELPURI: It is made of puffed rice vegetables and a tamarind sauce for a tangy taste.Bhelpuri is considered to have originated from parts of Maharashtra and from there it has spread to different parts of the country.Bhelpuri can be served in a lot of ways, but usaually it is served in paper which is folded in the form of a cone and is consumed using a paper spoon.

TILKUT: Tilkut is a sweet dish made from sesame seeds and is eaten only in winters, this dish is specially during to the Makar-Sankranti.Mix sesame seeds in jaggery and you get tilkut.Having said that, it is not about the ingredients but the way it is made:nobody can make it better than the localite of bihar.


LAAI: This is a sweet, salty or crunchy snack prepared from rice puffs. Just mix some hot jiggery in puffed rice and see the magic.It is easy to prepare and delicious taste to eat.


CHANA GUNGNI: It is in famous Bihari chickpea snacks .You  boil checkpea,add a lot of India spices to it and garnish it with tomato or onion salsa.it is filling healthy and very delicious:what else can you need from any food!


KHAJA:Khaja is another sweet dish in Bihar.This sweet dish will give you a sense of eating wafers. it is impossible to have just one piece of this sweet dish.
